Dolphin, to perform an operation not allowed for the user does not display an error window, but a window of authentication kdesudo.

The method that works better, it's important to not display an error message, but ask for the password required to perform the operation.

We can realized it by kdesu or policykit. In any case we should write separate program to doing tasks. PolicyKit is more configurable and we can remember access. It also requires to program communicate via DBUS. Uses PolicyKit may helps KDE projects to drop KDESU dependency, because PolicyKit is in all distros. But I have a question. What happens to FreeBSD/etc systems?

There is a GSOC project for a Phonon/Solid esque system for these kinds of operations, which would use the needed platform backends to gain authentication.
