Hi,

I would like to see the option to set manually the height /width of a panel in pixels.

Sometimes its hard to set the size to a correct value using the mouse, mainly when you have more than one panel side by side.

Thanks.

I think this is already possible by manual editing of the config files, but a GUI for such things would definitely rock, especially if it would be possible to manually place the Plasmoids too.

I can remember a blog post by aseigo that this will not come...

I don't know the reasons anymore, but maybe you can search a bit in his blog, a year are ago ;)

How would you implement that into the current Plasma toolbox?
Toolbox --> More settings --> Even more settings --> some dialogue box?

That's the only way I think this could be implemented without making the whole toolbox, "Just damn ugly".

You could as well separate the settings by topic: Size - Orientation - Behavior, each one having its button in the toolbox and its submenu.

The toolbox is huge, don't you think?

Not on netbooks. Besides, the main benefit of the toolbox is that it's clear and has the most-used options easy to reach, but is also easy on the eyes and not as distracting/deterring as some ugly-ass dialogue box.
