Use case:
I have the trash fill with plenty of files. Then I move one file file to trash. Inmediatly I realized that I was wrong, and want to recover it. Currently I need to browse through all the files in the trash My suggestion is this: Implement a list of undo's (undo last deletion of foofile.pdf, undo second last deletion of barfile.pdf...) This list should be available in the context menu of the trash plama widget, so it does not clutter the interface |

This would have to be implemented in the application that performs the move to trash ( which Dolphin & Konqueror already do )

o trash:/ itself by lets say grouping by deletion date, In this case you would find everything nicely ordered and this would work with any app

I agree, there is no reason to put undo in the trash since it is already built into the file manager.

What if you have closed the file manager, and realise of the error later?
Then the undo option wont be available. I think Lukas idea is great, adding a new field "deletion date" |

There is no need for new deletion date filed. Just use last access field with just different title in trash

Can the trash kio slave be set up to provide the deleted date when doing a sort by date?
