This is a request for rendering lists (Dolphin file lists for example) where rows have alternating lighter/darker background colours so that you can scan the full row from left to right easier without the need for tracking via mouse or finger.

This is like what you see in websites where table rows are drawn with alternating background colours.

I am busy at work right now but will come back and post screenshots to show you what I mean if you can't visualise it easily :-)

Cheers.

Tag added (although I am not sure it is the correct one).

Different backgrounds for odd and even rows + highlight the hover row by x%

Something like that.

Thanks for adding the tag, I wasn't sure either (Dolphin or KWin or what) :) maybe [WIDGETS] (filelist)...

But for an example, I realised look at any online forum (including this one) you can see rows in very slightly alternating background colour to aid in scanning the entire row... one row is a little lighter than the next which is a little darker... see?

Yes Lukas, good idea, include a slight highlight for the entire row when you hover the mouse over it :-) This could be done along with or instead of the alternating background levels...
