Speed limiter for KGet in the system tray menu (like KTorrent, for example).

Can you please provide some more details? I believe KGet already supports speed limiting, please check in its configuration.

Or like d4x - currently you have to get to 'configure settings' to change the dl speed in kget

Do you usually use speed limiter to leave some bandwidth to other apps in your pc, or to leave some bandwidth to other PCs in your network?

For this I have better idea than simply limiting traffic:
To make your PC as a router/proxy all traffic eg 80 port would have real-time priority, making all downloads to wait while you surf the net. But less than second passes from opening page, downloads would start to work at full speed. So we wouldnt need to limit speed for any app anymore The only problem would be a cpu usage for that. I think someone should tart new idea for that, |
