Hi everyone ,
this is my first brainstorm here so please no flaming. I've thought about the Semantic desktop theme we are working on currently and that we have our first achievements to this by adding tags to folders and files . But if I wouldn't have seen how someone was tagging a file/directory in Dolphin I wouldnt have seen an option to do so except a plus and minus on the folders after hovering in dolphin. , which are for selections. So as an Idea I was thinking about an easier approach for people to find out how a file/directory is tagged. and made a first example design for it in pictures. Im thinking that there are possibilities to do so directly at the icons as a user hovers over them : and by hovering over the flag show something like this : As you can see it only shows the first tag (maybe by importance?) and if the user wants to see all tags for a file he clicks on the arrow and sees something like this : What do you think about it?

This idea is related to [Dolphin] Active Icon Corners, although it expands on part of it somewhat so it is not exactly a duplicate. They are close enough that it may be worth merging them, though.
