At the moment activating a newly inserted device requires at least two clicks. One, on the device notifier pop-up, to get the list of possible actions, and on the desired action. This i far from ideal i think. I had understood that the notifier widget had been created to reduce the number of required movements.
Here is a possible solution. When hovering over the device in the notifier a treeview with the possible actions should appear. Similar in looks to the treeview in the desktop options window but clickeable. That way a single click of the mouse (and very little moving of it) would be enough resulting in a smoother workflow. Your thoughts? Incidentally, it would also be great if the notifier window went away of its own accord after a given amount of time. At the moment it just hangs around.
