I would like to see a KRunner plugin for Amarok. I remember Katapult having support for Amarok 1.4 but it's little outdated.
I think it should search through the current playlist for the song and if it's not there then search the library for it. What do you think? |

I think KRunner options like "next", "pause", "play", "LastFM: Love"... would be useful.

Great idea! For example: alt + f2 ; play Death magnetic, will play album... it would be great

Yeah ! KRunner plugin for amarok would be awsome ! Simply, most of the actions may be done through the KRunner.

Is there any reference for available DBus commands in Amarok?

You could start amarok and then qdbusviewer (that's the command) and then you can see the D-Bus actions in org.kde.amarok.

I believe Amarok uses the MPRIS specification for the types of controls desired.

I've created a basic runner named "Amarok Runner".
The supported actions are: Play,Pause,Stop,Louder,Quieter,Volume=XX,Next song, Previous song, Quit, Mute. The commands can be looked up in the configuration dialog. |

And playlists? I have a multimedia keyboard, play/pause/previous/next... is not a problem, but selecting a playlist it is. If you see my last proposal you'll realize I don't want to see the player interface at all . A runner that lets you select the playlist without opening anything else will be great.
