Hi there!
It would be cool to have a pet creature for the Plasma desktop. I know there is already a pet program called Amor, but it's very simple and the creatures are not plasmoids. Features: - SVG themeable so the creatures and animations could scale to any pixel ratio. - Themes downloadable from GHNS with different animations and creatures. - A Konqi animation by default!! - Customizable zone of movement, selectable on top of screen or not. - DBUS interface to KTips (for useful advices depending on the focused application) . - Fortunes support. - RSS feeds could be neat also. Any more ideas? Regards |

Here's a start, although it's very simple: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/bk ... ent=106528
Some more ideas: - Notifications (think: cartoon balloons) - System Monitor (idle - sleeping etc.)

Wow I didn't know about this.
It's a great begin, I love Miyazaki's anime. I hope it could improve with new features. Cheers |

I like the idea. There was a game called Dogz, back from 1995 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petz), which I'd like to see in KDE. I don't know if it is possible to make plasmoids interact with each other using the current API, but if they can, it would be very cool to have pets, and also some toys plasmoids for them to play with

Idea to restrict area of pet is great! Actually a bouncy ball had many bugs, because the arena isn't restricted. I think, that by scale widget we could scale only a area and width of widget should been configurable separetly.
