Hello,
I'm using Kmess and I used it's bug segnalation system: it's fantastic!!! I hope you can understand me, if not, just try kmess and you will understand what I intend... I think it would be a very good idea having the same bug segnalation on the entire KDE project.

Not all of us use KMess as our IM, so it would be nice if you would write hoe would this affect us on the global scale.
How is this better than current system? That would really help. (BTW I use Kopete and don't even have MSN account, so I really can't check it's features)

you're right. http://pollycoke.net/2009/05/12/aiutare-kmess-e-facile/ this url points to a italian blog where is explained how the bug segnaling system works... however I suppose that not all can understand italian language... so I try to explain in english: everything starts from these icons: green smiley is used to point something you like out to developers red smiley is used for something you don't like broken square is used to indicate a wrong behaviour from the application yellow light is used to express an idea about the application, such as a new feature... some screenshots: these are some tips to use icons: here is the dialog window to report comments: icons can be disabled: and a screenshot for who does not know Kmess I hope I was clear. I must say that this way of reporting bugs, desires, likes, dislikes could submerge developers... but it would be another problem: the fact is that this system would permit many people to help improve KDE with new ideas, even if they don't know what is a "bug" and with the vantage that this system doesn't ask for a registration (which is a great point, imho) Just my two cents |

So this would be an easy way to provide feedback on a window or program? Definitely a good thing.
I think this should be enabled by default in unstable builds of KDE that need the testing but available but disabled in final releases (maybe by the distro).
Proudly dual-booting openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.3 and Windows Vista on a Toshiba A205-S4577 since July 2007.

I love the idea!
Maybe also KDE-Brainstorm could be integrated. |
