What's this all about, then?
Dolphin has a very useful breadcrum navigation feature, but I think it could do with a bit of beautification :P Have a look at this link; http://www.gnome-look.org/content/previ ... ent+Mockup Hmmm... Interesting, isnt it? Not only would that provide for a far more visual, and I must say, appealing way of going through your files. You get a sort of 'spatial orientation' of your file tree. I admit, it looks nice, but it seems to be a GNOME project... Correction; WAS a GNOME project, last time I checked the devs said no to the idea. Shame, really. it would of been good. Also note the 'minimap' in the bottom right corner, which displays an overview. Also note the zoom buttons for it. Ooh yes, I see them. Now, imagine you move to a different directory, your 'view' of the folder hierarchy races up along the trail until it gets to it's new destination. VERY visually appealing! Indeed...but any other benefits aside from that? Why yes! The system, should it be watching the user, could bring up meta-data about the user's behavior in the filesystem, thus enabling the system to automatically configure the files for the user's benefit.
