There are still relatively few votes on even the popular items in the brainstorming forum. Perhaps this is because users tend to feel a part of the community defined by their distribution (kubuntu, suse etc) rather than generic KDE?
One way of better connecting all KDE users may be to include a "KDE Community" panel, or at least menu item, in kick-off (and lancelot). This would provide shortcuts to the KDE bug reporting, community forums and KDE news sites. Not too many sites... but bugs and community formums and userbase would all be good links to provide... it just makes the community support "built in" to the desktop a little more. Might reinforce the whole "community" theme that is growing within KDE?
