Having used Facebook, I was rather interested in how giving it my login details gave me the addresses of people.

I would ask for a similar function in KMail, where addresses are taken out of Gmail (and other online sites) and brought into the local address book.

Work on merging akonadi with GMail, GMail contacts, and Google Calendar is being done.

Be patient and support the devs that are working on it :)

Damnit, how can I give people ideas when they're already on it? :P

you can do this manually by exporting gmail contacts as a file (vcard i think) and importing it in Kmail
