It should be very useful to integrate data engine with .destkop files. Dolphin should show returned data as preview(on information pane) and add refresh button. Panel should show data in tooltip.

Why using this. Currently preview of desktop file don't give us satisfied information. I would like to have ex. some network game data engine and information like hero level, ext, dex, etc. displayed when I hover the icon. There could be more using cases, like ex. show information how many friends are currently online above IMC program.
