[KDE] KPart plugin for firefox.

Fri Jul 17, 2009 1:51 pm
I've just read [Okular] Browserplugin for Okular post and thougt,

Is it possible to create a KPart plugin for FF?

We all know, that FF does not respect KDE file association settings. If we set all file types to KPart, this problem would be at least temporary marked as solved. As all non-web files would be opened via KPart, it would use your referenced settings.

A KPart plugin would be the best way to handle integrating KDE application "plugins" into Firefox/Etc.

KParts has a lot of complex features:
-Menu-Manipulation
-Plugins
-Toolbar-Manipulation

It would be hard. This man-power could be used to improve the Konqueror.
