This is not a KDE only wish, but also directed at distros.
When one has the debug and source packages installed, there should be a button "debug" in the menu of every kde app. When pressed KDevelop loads with appropriate project and attached to the process. This would make it so much easier to start debugging. |

I like this idea but I think end users should not see this. Maybe it can be enabled via system settings. I can see people clicking on debug and getting confused when all they wanted was to click help.
Maybe debug means remove all the bugs to some users... ![]() |
