Hi!
There\'s a very interesting collection of games called "GtkBoard". I love a lot of them. (for example Attax) The 31 different games mostly don\'t use any Gtk- or Gnome-features. They just use the abstraction-layer provided by the application. (for example you can create a new ball or a board with x*y fields etc.) This layer could easily be ported to KDE and there would be a lot of new games for KDE. http://gtkboard.sourceforge.net/indexold.html GtkBoard is not developed any longer, but the abstract engine would also be useful for new games. There could also be an object-oriented version for simple Games written in C++. The User |

Actually I've already been thinking about creating a generic game framework that allows all users to create KDE games with SVG theming and all bells and whistles. If only I had enough time, or an army of clones like dfaure.

I remember reading about it, but I have not hear anything about it in a long time. I don't know whether it is still active or not. Unless someone posts more info here or I hear something about it I will leave this open.
