All is in the title. What about a pixelise animation in KWin effects? Like some video transition... Or if you remember, in super mario all star..

For example, when you logout, or, pixelize all exept an important window.
This can be do with shader, but it's not easy...
I think Vista and Mac have not this effect.

Hmm... If done right, it could actually look really cool!
