It seems I missed that thread. However, the situation is this. Many people would like to try using userbase as the place for getting docs edited, for the simplicity of doing it. However, when that is finished you have to get the info translated to docbook - a non-trivial task. We have identified a mediawiki plugin that is apparently capable of doing this, but we have no sysadmin available to install and make safety checks. The existing sysadmins are overworked and can't take on the extra.
We are definitely working towards this, but until we find someone capable of maintaining the mediawiki installation (which naturally means convincing the existing sysadmins that they know what they are doing ) progress is bound to be slow. I find it extremely frustrating, but that's life
