I am using Kmail 1.12.1 (KDE-4.3.1) It is not currently possible to thread messages from Bugzilla.

Let's take a look at what the messages from Bugzilla (subject only) will look like:

Code: Select all
Subject: [Bug 277868] [TRACKER] KDE 4.3.1 (stabilization plans)
Date: Tuesday 13:57:44
[Bug 277868] [TRACKER] KDE 4.3.1 (stabilization plans)
Date: Monday 13:45:00
... And so on
What I would like to do is arrange these messages in a threaded manner (i.e. the oldest message with this subject is the thread starter and all the others with the same subject go below it chronologically). With thunderbird I do this with View -> Sort by -> Threaded.

In Kmail I tried all the available aggregations and none produced the desired result. So I tried creating an aggregation for Threading by subject. I opted for no grouping and for threading I tried all the three options that were available. Nothing worked.

So, as I said above it does not seem that it is possible to achieve this in Kmail currently. It would be really nice if we can have this functionality in Kmail. (From a personal point of view, this is the only reason why I stick with thunderbird).

I vote for this idea. I, too, find it very annoying to be unable to thread bug report feedback. I can find nothing in the Aggregation settings that makes this possible.
