Easier Comparing

Fri Sep 11, 2009 8:45 pm
I know you can compare folders in Dolphin, which is absolutely wonderful. I'd like to bring this one step further and suggest better integration with the tab feature and possibly extend it into Konqueror.

To switch tabs in Konqueror/Firefox, you simply click the tab. When you select files, you click the file. But, with files, you can do a CTRL+Click to select multiple... whereas a tab you cannot. I think it would be relatively useful to be able to "check off" or CTRL+Click tabs and have them displayed all at once. Normal click a tab and it will go back to just one page shown in the window.

Icons could probably be reused from the + and - marks on Dolphin's file menu on the left side of the tab, opposite of the close. Either that or make the icon that is currently in that place "glow" when it is open.

Iono, seems relatively easy to implement and superb for comparing not only folders, but web pages as well.
