It would be nice to have a Plasma-Area (area to add plasmoids) in the Dolphin-Sidebar.

I think it would make sense for Plasmoids like:
- Previewer
- Mini Player
- Drop To Imageshack
- Drop2FTP
- Drop2Tag
- ...

Maybe this could be implemented as KPart. Then it would be available in other applications too (don't know if "Information", "Tree", "Terminal" and "Places" are actually KParts).
A KPart could be used together with "Split-View"...

p.s. Please don't implement it like Amarok where one can only add Amarok-Plasmoids

I like this idea. Maybe as kind of an extension of Koffice's panels into other KDE apps which can be dragged around into different positions, open, close, resize, etc. Pick the plasmoids or widgets you want for the sidebars thus making the file manager (and any other affected applications) a lot more flexible (and perhaps powerful too).

You can then imagine the types of plasmoid-based applications that could be created by just mixing (and integrating) a group of plasmoids (and kparts).
