When there are more then 99 subfolders in a given folder, dolphin's breadcrumb bar menu (which you get by clicking on the arrow between directories) will only show the first 98. There is no way to see the additional folders in the breadcrumb bar as far as I can tell. However, at the end of the list of folders there is an ellipses (...). I think that when someone hovers over the ellipses with their mouse for a period of time, the menu should switch over by one column. On other ones, the far left column of folders disappears, all the other columns move one column to the left, and a new column appears on the right. Further, the first (upper left) folder should also be replaced with an ellipses in this case, allowing you to move back up the list. This would allow navigation for very large folders. I know people often don't encounter folders with that many subfolders, but in some cases (for instance when dealing with large amounts of raw data, or pictures organized by date taken) it can definitely happen.
