When I search in okular I almost never get what I want. Okular begins to search before I finish typing, and the search pop-up intercepts keystrokes, causing typos in the search bar at the bottom of the main window. The timeout is so aggressive that it makes it difficult to correct these artificial typos. I would prefer to disable the timeout. Then I could type my search text at a leisurely pace and click the Next button to search.

There's a better term for that. Predictive search maybe?

Making it an option would be the win/win solution, IMHO.
