several strigi search indexes

Tue Oct 13, 2009 9:59 pm
It would be neat if you could have several search indexes in strigi/nepo.

Why?

1. I e.g. have my private data, in which I happen to search with strigi for files.

2. But I also have a large amount of offline HTML-files I'd like to full-index to find certain articles. And I do not want to mix indexes up.

basically: I know at least WHERE roughly I want to search and can pre-select if I search in my files, my ebooks, my magazines, my music etc. I'd like if strigi could handle these rather different files in separate indexes.

3. additionally, I happen to move these data (ebooks, magazines, music and stuff) completely as a whole to another computer and it would be great if I simply could copy the file index so that strigi on the new computer does not have to start indexing from zero.
