Kopete Spellchecker for several languages

The latest news from that project are from the beginning of 2007, on the other hand the latest commits in the CVS are from August 2009, so I couldn't get any reliable information if sonnet will be included in KDE soon or not. A working sonnet would make my proposed feature obsolete of course. So what would you suggest?
