The Dolphin file sorting as groups can be useful, but sometimes someone might want to sort the files within a group. For example, if they have the groups sorted by types, they might want to have the files in the group sorted by type. (so they can look for all .tar.gz files, see them all in order by size)

Yes, the sub-sorting would be nice. And have a way to get folders to first on every sorting settings. This idea reminded me about sorting and when I tried it again, I remembed why I have not used it. Because it does not allow placing folders first.
