Hi Guys,

My idea is to integrate the work on files with a calendar, let me present:

There should be added some fields for calendar tags in the informations panel of Dolphin.

--> State: (Work in progress, done,etc....)

--> Start Date

--> Due-Date...

The informations from this tag could be imported into an akonadi calendar.

Would be a "file-based" approch to link files with to a calendar and organize its work...
It would be something like a "todo" file list.

At last in a more advanced state more data could be linked, maybe emails that will be tagged to get answered due to a date or links to some notes you have taken...

I'm not sure I understand. Is this about associating files and Akonadi todos? For example: "Edit Quarterly Report" would be associated with "quarterly report.ods" If so, I'm for it.

Yes thats the idea, but with the intention that not files are linked to todos but the other way round...

I want to use dolphin to create todos...

An example...

I have to finish an excerpt in two weeks.. at the moment there is much free time for me and I open dolphin, create a .tex file and start typing. I can't finish it at the moment but can assign the date when it needs to be finished (in 2 weeks)...

I think this would be very useful because it is a very quick way of managing todo entrys without opening an extra program for such a simple task...

Thank you for explaining. I agree, that would be useful.
