To achieve full semantic desktop, manpages should been semantic too. Actually man pages are pretty well formatted, so it can be readable by humans well and maybe there's way to allow to be readable by programs.
The idea is about creating GUI interfaces for CLI programs. This programs don't communicate with user, but only needs to pass some arguments on start. Great idea is to integrate this mechanism with file manager. User will input in special inputbox of file manage, ex. : backup. File manager suggest to use cp -b tool. Once user selects cp -b tool, FM will create dialog, with allow to drag files on it or check "for all files in this directory" checkbox. User simply pass parameters and click do this. Until program was stopped, special icon appear in some corner of window. Allowing CLI commands to be understood able by computer will brings new way of integration without additional works.
