Many apps make use of KDE's tabs, however to allow the tabbar to be hidden when only one tab needs each app to implement this feature (I got this impression on the ktorrent forum so not 100%), it would be nice if there was support for this at the kde level.

Now some usability "guru", may claim this is a terrible idea as some people will wonder where their tab bar has gone and not every app has an easy way to open a new tab, however as long as you can bind a key to open/close tabs anybody who has activated this option (it should be disabled by default) will know what to do.
