Actually kde lacks a very useful program (should say a must-have). A plasmoid that illustrates the jobs queue and the ink level of a printer. Note that the one qt based program for displaying ink level is qink (qt3 based, seems dead), while libinklevel library is under active development.
so there's a need of such a tool.

Would probably be better to have this info available in the printer spooler applet with notifications.
