HTML allows to specify how certain pages related to each other, e.g. which page is the table of contents, which one comes next after the current one, etc.

http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/links.html#h-12.3

If the HTML delivered for the forum pages would have these, one could use respective browser extensions (such as Konqueror's document relations toolbar) to do some forum navigation based on always reachable buttons instead of links for which one often has to scroll.

An example of a page collection using this are KDE's handbooks, e.g. http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdebase-a ... index.html

Cheers,
