I like kde session saving funclionality - I always have a big number of konqueror windows with multiple tabs opened on different desktops and also a number of tray applications.

But the bad thing is that all this staff loads each time I login - this might take a long time and also eats memory.

There are situations when I just want to switch on computer for some quick task - for example open some site in browser or for work with some application when notebook is on battery. In this cases I do not want to load all saved staff in a session, but I also do not want to loose my session.

So, the idea is the following:
1. allow saving multiple sessions with names (currently there are only "manually saved session" and "last session") - for example I will have 2 sessions: "normal desktop" would contain all my konqueror windows, tabs and other applications; and "minimal deksktop" would contain nothing except desktop itself - for instant loading.

2. Allow choosing which saved session to load just after logging in from KDM:
- login in kdm
- start loading kde desktop
- show dialog listing available sessions

sure, this option would be optional and also this dialog should have optional timeout after which it would load default session.
