Hello,
I'd like to see some global hotkey functions implemented in Powerdevil for certain functions like brightness up/down, suspend, hibernate, etc. Reasoning: Some folks, like me and others, have brightness function keys on their laptops that don't work, but they can still adjust the brightness using their mouse in Powerdevil. It would be really helpful if they could simply assign hotkeys for brightness adjustment. Adding similar options for suspend and hibernate wouldn't be half-bad, either. Thanks! |

Heh for me, it doesn't work when sliding the powerdevil brightness slider either.

Using those keys requires using Keytouch on my laptop. So +1 for integration.
Proudly dual-booting openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.3 and Windows Vista on a Toshiba A205-S4577 since July 2007.

On Kubuntu KDE 4.3.4 there already is global hotkey:

Well, that appears to be some special Kubuntu-only thing, since I don't have it on either on my computers and I'm not sure where to install it or where to find it, either.
