Hi!
This is an idea for a small but useful utility. A lot of us do not have powerful remote-controls for the PC. But why don't use a normal wireless mouse to do some fancy things? There could be an application for it and you would say "all inputs from this mouse should be processed by this application". Another mouse could be used normally. Possible events: -Press/Release/Click/Double-Click with different keys -Gestures -Mouse-Wheel -Extreme movement What should be done: -Change the volume for Amarok or the whole system -Shutdown (for example an extreme movement followed by no movement for some minutes could indicate that you fell asleep) -Next track in Amarok -Next image in Gwenview etc. The actions could be implemented with DBus or small scripts. That would not be a problem. But gesture detection and deactivation of the mouse have to be implemented. How do you think about it? The User |

I wonder if Solid's "Remote control Management" option could be used as a starting poing for this? Maybe together with klirc?
