The titles says it all. It would be nice to be able to view and edit favorites from inside the menu editor.
Reasons: 1. More unified menu management. While favorites aren't a part of the menu by themselves, they are part of it by extension - and a pretty central one. 2. Allows for advanced options for favorites as opposed to any options that might be provided through a context menu (that's why the menu has this editor after all). 3. Makes it possible to specifically edit any given launcher that was added to the favorites. I've been in situations where I searched the entire menu editor for the specific launcher from my favorites that I was trying to modify - and didn't find it, although the launcher really was in my favorites. (That's when idea 38860 would come in really handy.) If the favorites were directly accessible through the menu editor, that wouldn't happen. Thank you for your opinions and votes, and to the developers if you implement this feature. |

I would actually like to see this implemented the other way round: bring the menu management to the menu, rather then having a separate menu editing application. It's more obvious and less separate. Move the launcher editing to a right-click context menu on that item and have a context-menu item when you click the menu button, "restore to system default", and we're pretty much set.

I'll have a look round - I'm sure it's been suggested before... o.o'

@Madman: You have a point there! I think either way would be an improvement. And if your proposal does the job better than mine, you'll have my support!
What really counts to me is to improve the current situation. |
