Keep application on this desktop

Wed Dec 30, 2009 12:13 am
Hi!

Using KWin's rules (a very powerful feature!) you can configure applications to have there windows always on the same virtual desktop. I use and love this feature. (ctrl+f5 -> webbrowsing-stuff, ctrl+f4 -> chatting-stuff...)
But new users may not understand the power of virtual desktops and KWin's rules. There could be a small checkbox in the context-menu of the window (the alt+f3-menu, window-list-menu) called "keep application on this desktop". When you select it, a rule should be added. (if programm-type == xyz then force virtual desktop X)
