Hi!
GNU Xaos is a very cool fractal generator. It can render many different kinds of fractals with very nice colour-effects. Zooming works nearly realtime even on my PC (S3 Prosavage 8, Intel Celeron, always 100% CPU usage). This application should be made available as a wallpaper-plugin. Maybe a small wrapper-lib could be created and this library would be integrated into Plasma and a stand-alone-application or Krita. I think everybody would love such fractals within KDE. The User |

There already is a wallpaper plugin which renders Mandelbrot fractals, including the color effects and zooming. Perhaps what should be done is to extend that plugin to render other fractals than just the Mandelbrot set (and possibly to allow adjusting various parameters)
