Decorate windows based on filters

Fri Jan 15, 2010 6:48 am
Currently KDE uses a single, universal window decoration for all windows. This idea is to allow Kwin to use separate decoration styles on different types of windows through standard filters.

For example, toolboxes might have a near-nonexistent frame to focus on content. modal dialogues might get a transparency effect that fades them into parent windows. Permissions dialogues might have a caution stripe running along the top.

It's not a bug, it's a feature!
