I personally love the new Quick Tiling feature in 4.4 :)

Problem is, I also love dragging my windows to the corner of the screen to move them onto another virtual desktop, and it's (as far as I can tell) impossible to set both :(

What would be great is something like being able to set a key for quick tiling, so that normally it moves them across to the next desktop, but if I am moving my window and hold down say, Ctrl or Alt or Shift or something, it activates tiling instead when they hit the side!

Thoughts?

Thanks for reading! :)

So it seems that you can do both in trunk:
Move to screen edge -> Quick Tile.
Move to edge and "push" -> Switch virtual desktop.

Since it doesn't work as the idea creator purposed, I won't move it to Done.

Ah ok well that's a considerable improvement :)

Is there any chance we could have the key press option as well though? It might make it a bit more accurate for people like me who like to throw windows around a bit too much!! :)

Different way of approaching this problem:
brainstorm.php#idea85461
(I think it's not a duplicate of this idea, but different solution to it).
Also it would be nice to have a key to press if you want to tile. It would be easier.
