The KDE SC 4.4 has a function when dragging a window to right (maximize right half of screen) and dragging a window to left (maximize left half of screen).
It should be nice if it is possible the user can set the line of dragging (left / right)-maximalisation. So the user can set 75% left and 25% right. E.g. dragging to the right it maximize only 25% (useful for Kopete or skype) and when dragging a Window to the left it maximize 75% (Useful for Firefox, Konquerer or Rekonq. I hope this is clear enough, because it is difficult to describe. |

Yeah I agree with this, I mean it will take a bit more work but hey it could be developed for 4.5 or later 4.4 releases or... whenever it fits best into the development schedule!
I think it makes sense to make the tiling more powerful on KDE, as it plays upon the idea of it not being window "Snap" but being "Quick Tiling", which sounds more flexible and like it has more in common with full tiling window managers. Any changes to make it more powerful/flexible are always welcomed by me! +1!
KDE 4.x makes Windows 7 look like a mistake!

I think the way to do this would be to default to 50%, but remember each window's size automatically, so that resizing only has to be done once. Also, if there is a window covering the left, and a window covering the right, which meet in the middle, then resizing left and right could drag BOTH, so that they remain covering the whole screen, but the resize changes the ratio of each.
