Many times users might to run elf file. It not problem, if user don't install/download programs by themselves - shortcuts will be created on menu automatically.
But there matters with running ex. self extracted archive with binaries. I think, that KRunner, when try to run elf file, should show up dialog with question to creating shortcut. In the shortcut, it should also sets the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH to corrects location(detects automatically). On Fedora, we should ran it only in sandbox(Fedora team has designed special sandbox system, called sandbox -X). Of course, when user is running elf file from desktop file, dialog shouldn't appear.
