Current behaviour of Amarok's simple tag editor is incomplete IMO. For example I can set tags like album, artist, etc for whole album but can't do this using pattern. This one is only available per song and can't remember itself for another song. Generally there's one name convention for music files, right? Now having set pattern for one song, e.g. %track - %artist - %title I have cut it and paste in another song because editor doesn't remember it.

I recommend remembering the pattern and adding this functionality per album as advanced option/section.
