Hi,
I just realized that KATE is missing this feature. I really couldn't believe it.
What happened 5min ago:
I am writting something in Kile (LaTeX editor, which uses Kate) and I am mentioning a couple of file extensions. I realized that it would be nice to have them all in italics. Now, I just assumed that I can select the frst one, hold ctrl, select second, select third... and so on. Then press alt+shift+i and have Kile add \textit{} everywhere. Well... that didn't happen.

So yea, I think Kate should get this feature, as she is awesome but it turned out, she can be even better :)
