Now in KDE 4.4 there is no more the option to search to the internet from the kickoff menu. I found it usefull and i d like to use it again.

It's still there for me. Are you sure it is enabled? Is anyone else missing this?

When you run krunner, there is a wrench icon on the left. Click that, then make sure "web shortcuts" is enabled. You also need to open the konqueror configuration to make sure the specific web shortcuts you want are also enabled.

This is talking about Kickoff, not KRunner.

Kickoff uses krunner.

Ah interesting - it seems as though typing in "google.com" in Kickoff will allow me to go to google.com, whereas typing in "gg: google.com" does not pull up any results (but works fine in KRunner). Perhaps this is what he means by no available?
Can you confirm this?
