Improvements for "zoom" kwin effect

I enjoy using the Zoom plugin in Kwin to give better focus to games, terminals... without having to switch resolutions or maximizing (which would cause lag due to high resolution).

However this useful plugin is a bit barebones, it might have use for a few configuration options. For example, the ability to "lock" the zoomed area. This can be useful playing a game while a Kopete/Pidgin conversation is on screen, and being able to move the mouse to the conversation without losing the zoomed layout.

As well, it can be useful to hold a key + mousewheel to zoom in/out, specially for video screencasts and such.

Agreed, espacially for the "lock" option : when you watch a Flash video that can't be fullscreened, it's good to have the zooming function.
It has the plus over Compiz that you can move the zoomed aera by simply moving the mouse... but this can become an inconveniant because you have to focus the center of the area with th mouse... and for some flash applications, when the mouse cursor is hovering it, you don't get the same display than when it's out of the Flash application.

So yeah, I want to have a "lock" function to the kwin zoom plugin.

a 'zoom in to current window' action would be nice as well.

What do you think about a 'scale instead of resize' option for windows?

Or in the context menu an item 'scale' like the 'opacity' item:
scale window 200%, 150%, 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%
