Folderview would be much more flexible if you could choose where the text of the icons is displayed in relation to the icon itself.

If you could choose to display the text being displayed right of the icon it could look like this (upper left): http://flope.eu/tmp/desktop.png

It could be also possible to choose the text to be shown left, above, or below the icon.

I like this idea. I've been thinking of requesting this myself. The views that I use generally point to directories with long file names (Most are around 20-30, and I have a couple that are around 50) that would take up like 5 or 6 lines or require making the icons really big just to accommodate the entire file names. On the other hand, if you put the text beside the icons you can show the entire filename regardless of the size of the icon (and wrap according to the size of the icon or to a set number of lines).
