Currently, the shortcut to display Kopete's contact list is CTRL+SHIFT+S. This is a standard in almost every program I know for Save As; resultantly, every time I want to do a save as, Kopete opens up instead.
I would suggest this default be changed to CTRL+SHIFT+C, C standing for Contact, although I don't know if this would conflict with anything else. So for now, this brainstorm is simply to remove CTRL+SHIFT+S as the default to open Kopete. |

but i think CTRL+SHIFT+C will conflict with 'copy' in the terminal (konsole). |

Oh, that is right about Konsole... although is there any reason that couldn't be the standard CTRL+C?

In unix-like systems "ctrl+c" is the shortcut to kill the currently-running command.

That I suppose makes sense. Although "killing" a process would have made me think CTRL+K
