KDE provides great way to select/unselect files. Some times people can get lost on directory with pa lot of files.

Show selection list button could be very helpful. We can use it to deselect files, filter selection by some criteria, add new files to selection. We can also switch to preview mode on it, to see preview for selected files.

Selection list could be separated window.
