Brainstorm is awesome. Lots of FOSS projects use phpbb. Lots of FOSS projects need good brainstorming software. Why not release KDE brainstorm for everyone else under a Free license?
I have searched but couldn't find any references to the state of KDE brainstorm, its source code, or how to download it. I assume that it hasn't been released - what a shame! Are there plans to release it as a separate installable module? Was it not designed to be redistributable during the development process? Is there a lot of work involved in packaging it up for everyone? Such great software deserves to be shared. |

It may not be a properly released PHPBB Module, but you can probably find source code here:

The SVN version of this forum is unfortunately outdated. We switched to gitorious some months ago, see http://gitorious.org/kde-forum-mods
It is indeed planned to contribute back to phpbb and release some stuff as modifications. As for brainstorm, some custom stuff is hardcoded and should be rewritten to be configurable. And one of my personal wishes to rewrite the underlying JS parts. So stay tuned, it will happen, but not sure when. Help welcome |
